Dr. Zunaida Zakaria is an MSCA-Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Malta, specializing in polymer engineering and sustainable manufacturing. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Faculty of Chemical Engineering & Technology at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP). Her MSCA-PF project (CPW) focuses on utilizing infrared thermal imaging to analyze the behavior of recycled plastic waste during 3D printing, tackling significant challenges related to sustainability and the circular economy. Dr. Zunaida's research aims to enhance circular manufacturing by improving the performance and dimensional stability of products made from plastic waste. With extensive experience in polymer processing and materials characterization, she is deeply committed to industry collaboration, public outreach, and interdisciplinary research. Through her work with the MSCA, Dr. Zunaida has further developed her expertise in advanced processing technologies, sustainable innovation, and building international research collaborations.
